Sterling Silver Prickly Pear Cactus Skeleton Cuff
Description & Dimensions
This large sterling silver prickly pear cactus skeleton cuff is one of nature’s gifts. Each cactus skeleton had its own pattern, no two are alike. The process used to create this unique cuff is an ancient one (around 3,500 BC) called lost wax casting.
This cuff weighs 85 grams and measures 2 1/8″ wide by 6 3/4″.
The prickly pear and cactus in general are said to be symbols of hope, everlasting spirit, perseverance and endurance in harsh conditions. To many Native Americans, the yellow cactus flowers were a mother symbol representing a mother’s unconditional love, her patience and selfless protection.
